Everywhere you look you see Hollywood celebrities getting botox injections.  When you take a look at the smooth and ageless skin of these celebrities, it certainly seems like this is the best cure for wrinkles.

With all of these great results, it is only natural that everyone would want to get a Botox injecton. There is some information you should know before you consider Botox injections as a cure for your wrinkles.

Of course, you will be injecting something into your skin and that will have some serious risks.  In fact, what you are injecting into your skin is a poison that has been used as a weapon in past wars.  Botox works by paralyzing the muscles in your face and keeping them from moving.

The injections that are used in Botox are not as strong as this and will only paralyze the muscles in your face very slightly.  They are typically not used in areas where they will interfere with the normal facial expressions. For instance, the area between the eyebrows is one location that is not injected with Botox.

You should take into consideration some of the problems that have been associated with this process.  Some people who have received Botox injections have suffered serious side effects and in a few cases, there have been deaths linked to the injections.

In the beginning when Botox first began, it was only injected by doctors.  Later, aestheticians began giving the treatments from beauty salons.  These salon workers were not properly trained and did not have the experience that a doctor would have about the injections they were dealing with.  This was especially true when they were dealing with aging skin.

These workers were not licensed and educated on the use of Botox injections for wrinkles.  They were treated like any other salon procedure, such as a haircut.  Sometimes these injections were given out at parties that were held specifically for the injection of Botox.

It doesn’t seem as though you would want to have someone who has no education or training injecting a dangerous poison into your face.  These treatments are a lot more serious than just another treatment at the salon.  They should only be given by doctors or those who have been educated and licensed to do so.

If you are considering Botox injections you should take all of these things into consideration before you head off to the doctor.  There is a great deal of effectiveness and some considerable risk.  You will need to take all of the risks into consideration before you make your final decision.  You should sit down with your doctor and discuss all of the risks and benefits and come to a wise decision.
